Feline Triple Vaccine - The only protection against several serious diseases

Hello to all our lovely clients! We would like to inform you about an important health matter as well as a change to our terms and conditions.

Feline panleukopenia (also known as feline parvovirus) has once again been detected in a local rescue organization. Over the past year, several organizations in the Pirkanmaa and Satakunta regions have experienced outbreaks of parvovirus. Feline panleukopenia is a highly contagious and often fatal disease primarily affecting unvaccinated cats. The only way to protect against it is vaccination.

Due to this situation, we have decided to tighten our vaccination requirements to ensure the health and safety of all cats in our care, especially against the most serious diseases: parvovirus, calicivirus and herpesvirus (feline flu). The feline triple vaccine is therefore no longer just a recommendation, but a requirement for boarding. There for, the feline triple vaccine (or booster) must be valid at the time of arrival. If the vaccination is missing or has expired, it must be administered at least two weeks — and no later than seven days — before the start of the boarding period. Please also remember that your cat must be completely healthy and symptom-free when arriving for care. If your cat shows any unusual behavior or symptoms (such as diarrhea, vomiting, loss of appetite, lethargy, congestion, respiratory symptoms, etc.), this must be reported to us immediately.

Just like in humans, illnesses can come and go in cats. Not all of them can be prevented — but fortunately, some can. Vaccinations are an essential part of prevention, which is why we are implementing these updated requirements with immediate effect. As a boarding facility, we will continue to do our very best — but only together with the owners can we keep our environment safe and healthy for all our guests.
